In TPL we care about the reduction of electricity consumption within the warehouse area. Already 7 years the consumption has been decreasing thanks to several steps we follow:

Replacement of all the original light bulbs with the energy savings LED lights

Modification of the lights that are able to switch off in unused areas in the warehouse

Planned installation of photovoltaic energy

 

In order to decrease the consumption of natural gas we have taken following actions:

Installation of the thermal insulation in the warehouse area

Roof thermal insulation in the chosen warehouse halls

Optimalization of the temperature in the warehouse and replacement of the new ramp gates

 

In the area of transportation we aim to reduce the emissions by maximization of vehicle capacity use in order to minimize the impact of emissions per 1kg of transported goods. We also pay attention to the quality of the vehicle fleet, aiming for 50% of cars meeting the EURO VI standard.

Additional we are introducing the CO2 reporting in TMS, where the daily carbon footprint of individual vehicles can be monitored. As a company, we are committed to carbon neutralization and that as well in the form of a project that involves planting trees around the current retention tank.
